Since whites kidnapped Afrikan people and brought us to the western hemisphere under their physical, mental, psychological, emotional, and spiritual control, we've been fighting a host of foreign perceptions of one another. Black people were trained to hate ourselves and our ancestors. More specifically, we've been trained to see the very physical essence of our being, the color of our dark skin, as the most hideous thing the world has ever produced. And this mentality has led to an ongoing feud between the darker and lighter-complexioned members of our Race.
This lecture, by Sister Nefertari of the Khildren of Southampton (KOS), begins the process of healing for our people. It helps our dark-skinned and light-skinned Brothers and Sisters see the origins of our self-hatred; and teaches us how to be sensitive to the complexion-oriented wounds inflicted on us in the past that linger among us today.
